Murder in the Afternoon

Buelow Platz, Berlin. August 9, 1931: shots rang out. Anlauf and Lenck (inset, left and right) both fell to the ground. Anlauf died almost immediately. Lenck was dragged to the nearby Babylon cinema, where he died. The two killers, Erich Ziemer and Erich Mielke, escaped.
